Hello there!

I can't seem to animate my noise mesh component. I have added the Modify Object component, and then the Noise component to my mesh object.

It only works if the object is not a child of any other object 😐 . Can I make this work on a child object?

Thanks,

Luis

Hi Luis
The noise animation works here no matter if the object is a child or not, have you added the modify object component to the actual object with the mesh on or a parent of that object? If you can submit a support ticket with a screen shot or two of the inspector and the hierarchy then we can see what is going on but as I said everything works as expected here if I add the ssphere object in the test scene as a child of say the teapot the animation works fine.

This is weird. On friday this wouldn't work. But today I made a new empty parent object, and just dragged my noisy object as a child, and it worked... I don't really know what happened, I had already made that test before.

What's a support ticket? Is it something to show I bought the plug-in?

Thanks,

Luis

*EDIT: Oops!, I now see about the support ticket system. Do you still need it?

The support ticket page is at http://www.west-racing.com/mf/?page_id=385 it is just a better way for me to keep track of what problems have been dealt with and which ones still need sorting out.
