iRacing Beta Testing
« on: June 06, 2008, 10:27:28 PM »

Any one here beta tested iRacing?   Huh

I would like some feedback about the physics!

At RaceSimCentral, I only saw good words about it!

I think that is one of the good things about I-Racing.  At least you can pay $20 for one month, and if you dont like it, you saved yourself $40.

I dont think it is full of good stuff,  no yellow flags(going to be fixed in upcoming patch), no live track thingy, no customer car skins, only colour change.

The problem with feedback is that the best feedback is your own feedback.

Yeah, I was testing it, it is pretty awesome, the graphics are amazing and the physics is really good, but there's a few things that annoy me like their incident system and the fact that you have to drive all the slower Waldorfpier cars and work your way up forever. There's a gear shifting exploit that they haven't addressed yet for some reason as well.

Right now I dont have enough time to play it to make it worth paying the membership though.

What is it?

I'm just waiting for the email to come through...

Same problem that people came across in rFactor. Sequential shift has a hard coded delay while H-Shifters change instantly, so you can gain a couple 10ths a lap with a shifter through having faster up-shifts.

I suggested forcing sequential shifting in cars that only have sequential shifters (same as LFS does with the FBMW) as an easy way of fixing it, but it wasn't very popular Smiley

That suggestion is popular with me Marsh.

Very popular.
